I always use stainless screws for the heads seem to be smaller then the regular kit steel ones. I know they work way better on the bottom of the chassis so you have no screw heads stickin out at all. Plus they are just cheap as hell from McMaster Carr for a box of a 100.
personally, i hate stainless steel screws. they bend easier, the heads strip out easier, and when threaded into aluminum they should be used with anti-sieze.
i actually prefer the black screws, or even gold zinc coated if available, but the stainless do have a smaller head, so i use them when i need that.
