My first truck was an Evader. It was good enough but if I could do it over again, I would get a T4 or a XXXT kit and a decent radio.
Right now the best deal going is the brushless RTR Losi XXXT just under $400. It has a good radio and a maintenance free brushless motor/esc from Novak that will last a year or two. It will cost more, but it's worth it in the end.
At the very least, opt for the RTR T4 or XXXT with the brushed motors. They only go about $235.
For around $200 you can get something decent, but for additional $100-200 more you can get something really good. So why skimp?
