I am running a 19T motors with 44mm tires in the front and 46mm tires at the back. The gearing I choice is 30/98, and I am using 4300 batteries.

it sounds to me that you are undergeared.i run my 19 turn with an 88 spur and 31 pinion with 46mm rears.this is with the KD 19 turn.if you run a checkpoint you will need to gear even higher than that.when you are undergeared the motor gets hot due to lack of load and will weaken the magnets and make the car feel flat towards the end of a race.
