Question on Motor Timing...

i got a 11T double motor which is drawing 7+ amps at 4.8V. i suspect this is a bit high on the amp draw... i've actually shelved this motor at the moment cos it just keeps overheating the brushes... i already gear until cannot find a big enough spur liao!!! but the brushes still get overheated...

wat i wanna know is if there is a general rule to follow on amp draw??

for example, is there a specified max amp draw for 11T double?? or for any turn or winds??

also, if i time my motor to suit my amp draw... how will i know wat the optimum timing/amp draw is??

the motor (peak nebula) mentioned above is timed at the factory setting...

appreciate all suggestions...
