I wouldn't spend money on another Radio/Receiver. Most likely NOT going to fix the Problem, unless there is some damage to the RX or crystal. (worth a see)
I finally dismantled my Pro-2 because of the Glitching, but I've also known people who have NEVER had glitching problems with their's.
You did mention that you have 2 identical Cars. Try swapping the complete electronics over from the "good" car and see if this solves the problem.
