Never saw it coming but my best wishes go out to all of those involved... Kyosho, Jr, and Horizon/Losi!
I've known and worked with Gil over the years helping out with various Losi projects and he always had a fresh and interesting perspective to bring to problem solving!
I'm sure that this style of innovation will continue to bring new ideas to RC... no matter what company he is working with!
