Regarding using a countersink to countersink the chassis, you might want to invest in a 1/4" carbide countersink (which is sufficient for 3mm screws). It definately won't cost 8 dollars (probably about 3x as much) but it will last much much much longer than a steel countersink. A steel countersink wont last long at all, plus its very annoying to use when its partially dulled. Graphite just dulls it soo fast its ridiculous.
