We used it for years for out door asphalt racing, mostly with gas cars and foam tires. It's probably going to be the best traction you can come up with compared to the sugar waters or pop syrups. Toledo has a good formula of vht, castor oil and I think Mountian Dew syrup, but I would go the gas thread and ask Ted Hammer. We thinned our vht 50/50 with methanol and applied with a sprayer. VHT does not like moister. A light sprinkle or some wet spots on the asphalt creates a very slick condition. Once dry, traction comes right back. Current blends of VHT is better then it's been in the past. As the track heats, you will loose a little bit of time/lap, but not that much. Some tracks slow more then others. If you had a track 75 x 150, expect to put down 3 gallons of vht, 3 gallons of methanol to get good grip. Blow the asphalt first. "DRY" is key. If you can not keep the asphalt dry, go with sugar water.
