OH, I completely forgot about Yokomo who build drift specific cars and many of Yokomos cars are shaft drive. What people recommend depends on what you're doing with it. If you're looking for a full-blown racer then the fields a mile long and anything can be great, just pick what you like. You've got everything from Associated to Yokoma. Every company has a fantastic racer so I'd say go with the company you can find parts for. Stormer Hobbies does still have the Hot Bodies Cyclone for sale at $199 which is a STEAL!!! If you're looking for something to drift...then no idea.
