The fk05 set up (also using White Front & Yellow Rear springs)worked well for me on the EU 007 but I still went back to the kit set up (Silver/Gold) and worked from there.
About the bearings - just keep them clean and properly oiled and they should be ok.
Yes - The Fk05 battery strap does fit the T2.
