Default Castor Oil

Castor Oil is made from the castor bean. There are only afew sources that mfr. castor oil. And most of the oil companies buy it from the same few sources. It may be refined a little more....be a little less acidic etc...... but it's still a natural based oil. Castor oil has a flashpoint has that is somewhere in the 450F+ degree range. For on-road racing at high RPM , castors unique lubrication qualities coupled with it's heat removal properties is hard to beat compared to any of the synthetic oils on the market. Synthetic Oils are more stable than castor, and has other lubrication qualities that makes it a good choice for blended fuels. The argument of all synthetic based fuels and castor/syn blends has been ongoing for years. In my book, I will only run a castor/syn blend. It's a formulation that just plain works.
