Don't know any symptoms when the crankshaft will break. What I do is I check my engine after running it in the tracks. I check for play in the conrod. I also check the smoothness of my front and rear bearings. When there is something unusual, I change that part right away to prevent further damage A friend of mine told me that if there is play between the crankshaft pin and the conrod, then it conrod should be change to prevent breakage
