Gotta look at it this way...they may be borderline illegal and if they get teched at a major race (if they even go to them, not everyone does) then they are banned from those races and that's a risk some are willing to take. Now, if they are just racing some club races or bashing parking lots then who cares really. I mean, I put a brushless 3.5R in my mini just for grins. It was WAY illegal but it was a hoot to watch it scream down the road, flip 25 times, land on it's wheels and still limp back.
