Weight in the middle would allow for more rotation in the corners, saddle packs would keep it more level and might even offer more traction.
I've got my MF2 with all of the weight in the middle of the chassis and have yet to run it in it's current state. I'm running a 2s1p li-ion pack and Mamba 5700 and everything fits in the stock battery tray. We'll see how it works this weekend.
