The new spool is a 3 piece assembly that allows you to replace the outdrive cups if they get damaged. The new cups are less likely to get damaged because they are twice as thick for better blade support and toughness.
simini80 - The new spool should take care of most of the spool issues. We find that the alloy drive shafts (U3020 $39.99) are harder to bend than the steel MIP ones (U2151 $44.99). For the last 2 months we have been selling the updated U3020's with stronger CV pins and and a new barrel for better pin support. They are very tough.
