personally i find the tamiya shocks to be the most amazing finish inside and out. I dont know about the newer HPI designs that include a bottom purple cap but the older design with just the purple caps (or gunmetal caps) are good as well. kyosho shocks are nice but i dont like the internal finish as much as Tamiya or HPI.
