Jon....for me it didnt really depended on the track around here. We could take a car that was setup for rubber tires and throw foams on and go faster and the car would handle awesome. When we would start to tune the car like a foam car on carpet it would get ugly. I raced at 1 parking lot track and 1 full time track and the car worked the same at both. It took us a while to see that a carpet foam setup wouldnt work as well as a rubber set or a rubber setup with just a tick stiffer springs. This was just what I saw around here....maybe some of the guys from the east coast can chime in as they run a lot of foams on asphalt....as do the guys down under. The one cool thing about foams on asphalt is passing Nitro cars down the straight.
