Powdered graphite has been being used to lube the dogbones since ages in RC. Also Mo2S based spray lubes (loctite, CRC).Quite expensive and difficult to find here in Europe, at least un my country.
They are called dry lubes, a kind of lube film very adhesive that doesnt atract dust and avoid wear in metal-metal contact.

I find a great substitute is the dark grey grease that comes with the dremels. Its easier to get in Europe than most other usable products. I even use it on the thrust bearing on the clutch. Sticks there great and keeps the dirt out all day. Only needs replacing when you strip the car to clean it.
