Ok, now what about switching fuel...?
I've been told to stay with the same brand / % as what I originally broke my engine in with. Is this true? ...or, can I just switch fuel whenever I feel like it...?
I've been using Blue Thunder 20% for 2 years now. It does alright, but I sometimes wonder what kind of performance I could get from other brands of fuel.
Dynamite / Blue Thunder has come out with a new fuel called "Sport Formula". It has an additive called ZX-7. It's supposed to reduce engine wear by preventing excessive operating temperatures.
Has anyone tried it yet...? Pros...? ...Cons...?
I think its fine to switch fuels...I'd make sure the lube and nitro %etc. is similar to what your already using. Then run it at a rich setting around the track a few times/tanks...and see how your engine performs. I do it..and I havent had any problems.
