If you are using the stock tamiya 101 ESC it will not handle anything more than a black canned tamiya motor and possibly a 27t stock motor but thats pushing it. With the stock gears and an ESC that can handle it a 19turn motor would be as much as I would go and the speed tuned gears are only really good for the stock motor.
