macnkitty2002 with those bearings always put the rubber seasl to the outside.
In other words the two metal sheilds should be facing each other and the rubber shields face the screw and the clutch shoes.
Metal shields aren't worth a piece of crap unfortunately.
I would be interested to try the dual shield though as the metal ones don't drag as much.
I found a guy here in Oz that does ceramic bearings cheap!!!

You can get 10 rubber sealed ceramics for your cluthc bell for $50AU or $36US plus postage.
Not bad if you get a group of guys together and you each buy 10.
I've run my first set in my buggy and man do they spin like nothing i've ever seen before.
