what double steer is is when your front tires bite going into and through a corner and then they let go and the car pushes and then bites in again.it almost looks like a wiggle going through the corner.using side dampening helps this by controling the flex of the T bar or side springs(if you run a link car).it dampens the torsional spring tension of the rear pod contoling the load placed on each of the front tires(how quickly the weight is transferred and returned) going into and through a corner.too heavy dampening will overload the front and cause the car to drill its nose to the ground.this is easy to see because you will actually see the inside rear tire lift going through the corner.this adjustment allows you to balance front and rear traction
