I have .20 springs and the nut is on so that you can just barely see the kingpin
showing. The nut is on the top side also, and, I have had to compress the nut into the eyelet so that it would seat to the top of the ball. It takes some trial & error until you are able to spin the tire without it rubbing on the kingpin or the nut but they work well!!!! And no more clips!!!
Is there enough room to install them with the nut on the bottom side with a washer to hold the spring? Maybe if you shim the top side? Seems to me that would make spring changes easier.
