WOW, .024" springs are STIFF! We didn't even use thouse on 6 cell 1/10 pan cars. Maybe on banked ovals in 6 cell mod with cap tires.

On a 4 cell 1/12th car you should use .020" 99% of the time and .022" 1% of the time.
