Jason, very cool! Good news, keep it up.
I just got back from my Northwest Indoor Series Race in Tri-Cities Wa. It was a little more of a tallented crowd then I was used to. I too, had good luck with my MS2.3A (as I am calling it) with the steering rack. The car hit the track with absolutely the right set up on it. The only change I made was to move the batteries a 1/8" forward for a touch more steering. I swindled the TQ with the only 47 lapper. Rick Fowble from Boise was right there, but two tiny bumps prevented his 47. The 3A's went in my favor but not without some luck. The first A, the car pushed too much. I found a spring that collasped afterwards. With A1 in the bag, I looked for just a touch more steering and moved the bats all the way forward. The car was ideal for A2 and I wrapped up the event. The only things I would comment about is that I ran out of the 5.8ou cloth that I use and substituted 10ou. I only laid up two personal chassis with this stuff and I will not do any more. They heavier cloth wants to delaminate to easily. Oh well, live and learn. The steering rack had zero problems all weekend. Since the car was good, I couldn't come up with a good reason to change the Ackerman adjustment or change bumpsteer. Just knowing it's there and what it will do, is just good enough for me! BUT; I still do not think that it's worth the trouble to gain these few features. I will be running it some more in ND this weekend to see if I can exploit some more from it. In all, good results as the MS2.3 takes tq, 1st & 3rd in 19t class.
Sounds like 'birds is going to have a big 12th scale crowd!
