I've got 16ga on my GTB/6.5 combo and it seems fine. No one was passing me on the straight at our 2-day last spring...

Oh--and if you're having trouble finding 16ga wire you should stay tuned for an announcement the next couple weeks...great news for all of us who've been frustrated of late.
