I dont think dead shorting once or twice will kill the cells and besides it is safe @ 0.2v set by CTX-D v2 otherwise MuchMore will be out of business by now

On normal race/club meets I usually pulse discharge with 0.9 cut off, rest period followed by linear 0.7v before charging.
