with pocketed chassis you can get bowing sometimes.the construction of the carbon fiber has alot to do with it.the way the panels are made,the layers are all based off the center core.for example,they lay the center core layer and then each and every layer is layed on top and below the center.in other words,mirrored.when they press the material to form the panel,the resin is heated and liquified.when it liquifies there is expansion.when it cools and hardens the resin contracts and the fibers do not which creates stress but being that the layers are mirrored off the center layer,they counterbalance eachother in a sense keeping the panel extremely flat.once you remove material from one side you relieve the stress from 1 side and it can buckle.every time i am doing a chassis that will require pocketing,i have it layed differently to accomodate this process.im not saying that hudy did not do this but it is possible for c/f to buckle when pocketing.
