You need to discharge and equalize to keep all the cells in the pack so when you recharge the pack all the cells are at or near equal performance. This achieves the best performance out of your pack.

Discharging should be done at 20-35 amps. This will depend on how high your equipment can discharge. And DO NOT completely discharge your Intellect packs. Discharge time depends on energy left in the packs.

Next you equalize. I equalize down to 0.9v per cell with the Novak Smart Tray. You will find this pretty common, especially with the Intellect batteries.

the CTX-D is a good peice of equipment for the money but you don't have to spend that much to get the job done.
