977 MRC for a charger is fine, even the older 969 is great and cheap on eBay.
I personally have triton and 969 chargers.
With the triton, eventhough it charges one at a time, it can charge 1-24cells, so i connected my 2 7.2V starter box batteries and charge them as one 12 cell battery (14.4V).
For i own and would suggest the new hitec line 59XX which figure bushings in the upper case, which do minimize slop in time and are digital with coreless motors full metal with one karbonite first gear.
