Mr Tamiya came with the first Avanti that was released some time later. It was held at Thornliegh Bowling Green with a few holes and jumps. The young guy that won the trip to Japan in VW Buggy (with the big wheels and Frof chassis) only bought the car the day before the ACT round was held, i told him it would be a good time for him, he took out that race, got the trip to Sydney about 2 weeks later and won the trip for himself and his Mum (Recent widow, Tamiya paid) so it was one that the good guy came first. I think from memory that a male won the race for open but he has now jumped the fence and is now a Ms from SA.
