It made me think that it would be the perfect set-up for the Lotus 49 you have been planning. Mount the motor inline with the battery down the chassis centerline. Perhaps with a monocouce(probably did'nt spell that right) chassis like the real car. Maybe take it a step further and design a motor mount that bolts directly to the back of the monocouce and thus make the motor a stressed member just like the original 49; or at least the motor mount would be a stressed member that the rear suspension would bolt to. It would be so awesome don't you think?
