It's time for me to buy some tires & I thought the CRC's rocked but I see that they have "pro-cuts" out now. I've heard some stuff about these having a bigger rim. What is the purpose of having a big rim & how does it benefit handling/lap-times? I like the looks of the CRC dish rims a lot better than anything else out there for 1/12th (everything else just looks funky) but it's all about performance.

the larger wheel on the procuts allow you to run a larger diameter tire/wheel combo for more forward traction without having a tall foam sidewall.you cut the foam low and still have a larger overall wheel/tire which will give the forward traction due to a larger contact patch and at the same time you will have little sidewall flex to free the car up laterally.
