What Chassis are you rolling on.....the Clone? If so get with J/Mac...I believe he has his pretty dailed!

To find the rollout find who is running the the fast time at the track. Then set your pinion gear to the car depending on the size for your tire......

one of the easiest ways is (example) Mark a small dot (sharpie)on the tip of your motor armature (endbell) [note the car has to have foam tires tured or rubber, motor in place and a pinion gear on.]

Lay the car on a table on top of note book paper, Slide an index "card" behind the rear tire on the side of the motor. Make sure that the "card" is push right were the tire lift up from the paper(so there should be no space between the tire and paper. )

Now take a pencil mark the edge of the line where the index stick out (this is for measurement)......

Now slooowly roll the car from this position while watching the rotation of the dot on the armature, one complete circle is the result of the cars rollout!

Now slide the "card" under the tire from where the car has stopped(like in the begining), mark the line and measure the difference in MM or Inches.

Depending on your pinion and tires you can make adjustment to achieve a distance from here.

So if someone states they are running a 26mm rollout....this is how far their car rolled on one complete armature rotation. What you will have to do is maintain this rollout as your foam tires get smaller or change.

Keep in mind if someone is running a fan on their motor, you may have too run a smaller rollout. 26mm vs 27mm or smaller or vice versa.

This is for those without the time to do math.
But there is no exact answer for what rollout to use....
most start form .90-1.13 inches on stock motors roar to p2k2.

If you need more detail Reg LMK guy.
