I like to run my front tires between 1.8" and 1.7" with 4.0mm front ride height.
YOu can go as low as 1.65" If I recall on the old school arms and a Rev.3/4 and achieve 3mm on nose. This was dependant on how many shims you had built up under the arm as well. 1.7 to 1.8" front tires does not require this mod to be done.
