from the looks of it,that front end better suits the cars layout.i have not tried a speedmerchant car but have seen them and they work well.i tried the old front end before on a stock L4 and didnt like it with that given layout and rear suspension style.i know the front end works on the speedmerchant so i am guessing that bruce found it to work better on his car than the newer style front end did.
