ive run about 20 tanks through the picco now, man this thing is quick! keeps up with all engines at our track - novarossi rs-12's, rb-x-12's, mt-12's etc.
i doubted this engine before i bought it, now, its the best motor ive driven!
they only have a 2 needle carb (3 if you include idle), plastic composite carb body to "apparently" stop the heating of fuel as it goes through the carb, but you can fit a novarossi carb without any troubles and the motor is very light compared to a nova or rb.
I was lucky to get the factory modified version though not sure what they did or how it compares to a standard picco RE.
Ive noticed that it revs out quicker than a rossi but tends to heat up abit also (even with 18/22 pinions). i bought it with a manifold and picco top end matching pipe which i highly recommend also.
i only run 15% nitro which is a custom blend of VP racing methanol and nitro and high quality oils (novarossi i think)
