If you choose to follow the revolution rather than toe the party line you get to expect some pain/inconvenience. The people developing anything aren't interested in "subsidizing" your revolution, and that's exactly what you expect them to do when you idealize that they should spend time and resources to accomodate you. The only subsidized revolution was if you were a Nicaraguan Contra and had friends in the Reagan administration...and look how well THAT turned out. "The Man" paying for your revolution...there's irony in there somewhere.

The event coverage was comprehensive and worked very well for the vast majority of users. AND it was free. As soon as someone asks you to pay, you earn the right to kibitz...imo.
