Yup...pretty much EXACTLY why I don't think LiPo should be allowed in RC car racing. There is ALWAYS an element of RC racers who are keen to jump onto any new-tech bandwagon without really looking at all, if any, of the potential consequences.

Example--there's only about 50 ways present in the car shown for those batteries to get punctured in "normal" impacts. Would you put the contents of those batteries on your wife's dining room table or on your living room carpet? No? Then keep it off of my club's racing carpet.

At the VERY least, if you're going to play with the LiPos in a car, use something like the Orion packs that have the plastic case.
