In Australia the most popular /standard tyre is Sorex, compound ratings go from 20 (very cold smooth concrete), 24 (smooth concrete) 28 (asphalt), 32(warm asphalt) 36 and 40 (hot asphalt). I'd start with some sorex 28s and if you are slipping around go to 24s, if they wear out too quickly go to 32s. I only use Sorex's, and love them...
You will also need to get some inserts, start off with sorex B medium.
make sure you glue it properly otherwise they will vibrate at high speed
