Not such a good idea unless you are extremely good at avoiding barriers and other people crashing into you. Reciever with no case is a VERY exposed reciever.....a few knocks and you would do a lot of damage to it! Changing the ESC to something smaller would be a much easier way of saving weight!
Ok thanks. I was worried about that too, especially because it sticks out a little from the edge of the chassis.
