The pitch is actually the same, its just that half the teeth are missing on the "wide pitch" pulley's. There are 18 teeth on a pulley the same size s a 36 tooth
I'm quoting the description for the MRE here : Drive belts feature redesigned gear tooth shape.
So the pitch on the belts is different, which means theoretically you can't use the MSX/Std 415 belts on the MRE. However I don't think it'll be a big issue.
