Well last year I couldn't get my MSX to work on carpet, tried loads of different setups, spring rates, etc... nothing worked. This was using sorex24Rs (prebuilts that were the controlled tyre for a series i was doing). Yesterday I had a go with the MSX at my usual carpet track, they have a new carpet that has significantly more grip than before, and with CS22s on the car was utterly crap, properly undriveable.
Went to much stiffer springs and RP30s and set the fastest laptimes in each of the last two rounds. Didn't get fastest overall because i made too many mistakes, kept on bumping the pipes as the car was slowing down very quickly and getting very close to them, then worked out after last round i didn't decrease drag brake, still had the outdoors setting for it, lol.
