After sanding the side to a nice rounded edge, I "paint" the edge with a black magic marker. Then I just hold the chassis upright, put a drop of glue on the side and let it run. Use a small drop and as it starts to slow down, just touch the tip of the bottle to the drop. It will continue to run along the chassis edge and leave a very nice glossy finish. Not my idea, but definitely a good one. Whatever method you choose, take your time. Patience IS a virtue and will pay off in the end for you.
