Mongo, you're going to have to use a fine grit sand paper and go over the areas lightly until the cloudiness is gone. Then find the same varnish that was originally used to cover it and go over the whole thing with one or 2 light coats.
And yeah... Thankfully, my table oops was just a cheap deal from like Bob's furniture and live bait mart...
