Perhaps it's because the battery was released prior to the T2. It fit in the FK05 just fine, but nobody making aftermarket parts should be expected to keep up with XRay's money-grabbing pace of releasing new cars.
Tamiya makes a bulkhead that allows stick packs to fit, including the LiPo. Can't your precious XRay do the same?
