I ran a 4.5 turn brushless motor last year with both the Novak and LRP competition speedo's and you would really have to try to thermal them. It takes overgearing and or driving the car too hard to get it to thermall.

The brushed stuff is still probably faster at the top levels but for club racing brushless is way more economical in 12th.
