The bumper body post mout is indeed very flexy. I think it could be due to its length. But having said that, I holds up pretty ok on my car. An option is to use the alloy ones. Tammiya hopup which is available in 60mm and 65mm.

With regards to the body post mounts, I upgraded from the plastic shock towers to the graphite ones without any issues. So you could go for it
