Now
LOGIC would tell you while buying all the parts to make up a diff would cost more than the diff itself.
I just don't see how you would save money when you need to replace the additional parts later!!

While I agree that it is a good idea to have a spare diff, (easy fix on race day) I also believe that you should be able to repair the one you already have without buying the whole thing. And for those who replace the stock thrusts and diff balls with ceramic, it doesn't do much good to have extra parts that you didn't need to buy, just so you can get an extra 10 bucks on resale.
