2006 Harris RC Challenge - Sat 26th Aug - Boronia, Vic
Hi All,
Announcing the Harris RC Challenge for 2006. Mark down Saturday, August 26th in your diaries. As per last year, the event is an onroad electric meeting, and will be held at the Boronia Radio Controlled Car Club, Dorset Rd Boronia (Melbourne).
This year we're planning on running a Saturday twilight meeting, for something a little different. This will mean free practice in the morning and early afternoon, and a race start around 2pm. We envisage finishing up around 8-9pm.
We have learned a bit from last year's event and changed a few things, but the event will remain similar - a fun day, with cheap entry fees, offering 540 novice, 540 pro, mini, stock, and mod classes. There will be a minimum 2 heats per class (hopefully 3, depends on entries) as well as 3 A finals for all classes.
There will be medallions and prizes for podium placegetters for all classes, as well as encouragement awards.
Entry forms and detailed rules are being written, but in short, rules will be as per VORTEC rules, open rubber tyres, max 6 x 4300mah cells.
ALL money raised on the day from entry fees, food and drinks will go directly to the club. We will be onsite of course, helping out where we can. We'll have our products with us for you to check out and, if you like, purchase.
